Atelier

 Atelier is a shelf and a coat rack system. Brackets made from 2 mm steel sheet are combined with shelves to form a versatile and simple piece of furniture. Despite being sturdy and large, the brackets have a lightweight, wing-like look when mounted. Detailing: the screws are covered by the shelf, an unconventional construction detail that underlines the design’s two-dimensionality. For optimal use as kitchen shelf or coat rack, the laser-cut metal brackets are also available with precut slots for bars. The rear bar offers sufficient space for hooks to keep those kitchen utensils handy, whereas the front bar can be used for coat hangers. A small acrylic mirror completes the ensemble and can be simply hung on one of the hooks.
